Reception pupils had a great time at Southwick library listening to stories, learning about how the library works and how we should respect books. Pupils even had a chance to take books home. Thank you Southwick Library !

Choosing books at The Book Nook

Outside The Book Nook

On a cold wet November
morning, a selection of pupils from Years 4,5 and 6, had the pleasure of spending an hour at The Book Nook choosing books for the Junior Library. Pupils chose three books each  and were kindly given a free book as they left the shop. Thank you Book Nook, we had such an interesting visit. All of the books bought will be on display and ready to borrow as soon as possible.

What a fabulous start to this half term, author Frances Hardinge came along on 5th November to talk to pupils about her new book 'Deeplight'. She explained the inspiration behind her books and how she creates her characters. Pupils asked lots of interesting questions and even had the opportunity to get their books signed. Super Tuesday.
