Oh what a night!

The Southern School Book Award 2019

On Friday 25th January we attended The Southern School Book award ceremony at Roedean School. Pupils had read 5 books and voted on their favourite, this was the time when we all discovered the winner as voted for by 25 schools in the Sussex area. Drum roll please...the winner was Will Hill with his popular and our favourite book 'After the fire', a book about cults, communes and tragic events inspired by the real life event in 1993 at Waco, Texas.
Come and read it for yourself - we have a copy waiting to be taken out in the library.

The finished products

So last week, I posted about Macrame in the library and how we were trying out new skills. Well here are two of the finished items, how fabulous are these? I loved making my wall hanging and I know the pupils did too, we’ve all learnt a new skill. Thanks to Bo for having the patience to teach us all. Now, what to make next...

This Wednesday was all about learning a new skill. Here are some of our amazing pupils being taught how to macrame by Bo, our macrame expert. Watch this space for the finished pieces. If you want to learn a new skill, come to the library at lunchtime on Wednesdays.
